FAQ's

What is a Spider Lift?

When we brought the very first Spider Lift into Australia and New Zealand back in 1997, the term wasn’t even in the dictionary – so alot of people are still unsure what it is. A spider-lift is a self-propelled boom-type EWP (elevating work platform) which is designed to be light in weight, as compact as possible, and uses 4 stabiliser legs to achieve stability and levelling. The two big benefits of the spider-lift over trailer mounted lifts was their compact size for accessing difficult locations, and their 4WD self-propulsion to increase productivity in moving quickly from location to location and traversing terrain that would stop other heavier or more cumbersome machines. The beauty about these spiders is all of a sudden here is a machine that can be towed on a trailer, fit through small gates, drive over rough terrain, set up on slopes, and reach up to 54 meters in the air!
