Reel-stand suitable for steel reels, fit for lifting and braking reels during cable laying operations. The reel-stands is equipped with tail-stocks replacing the traditional shaft system for quick and easy reel loading and unloading. In addition the tail-stock system allows use of reels with oversized width. Optionally, the reel-stand can be hydraulically driven.
